D’arcy knows WAY too much about the private details of Infinity War and other movies, and the only way she could is if sometime during the five years Thor drunkenly showed up at her place and told her EVERYTHING and that’s my headcanon now.

That and the Salmon Run is an apocalyptic plague of biblical proportion in the Splatoon lore.

Now playing

It’s also a battle over the little energy left in the world. I like to think that those creepy sounds if you linger too long after a boss battle are on purpose. The fan theory that it’s the sounds of the Octarian civilization literally falling apart is an extremely intriguing one (even if it’s one I doubt Nintendo

I hope Pokémon takes a page from this in the next generation. After playing an Animal Crossing game where everyone referred to me as ‘they’ and I could wear whatever clothes I wanted, going back to Sword and Shield where my female character couldn’t even wear a replica of Rose’s suit was kind of a bummer.

I noticed that in the trailer, no fuss about it. Nicely done.

Nintendo used the winner of the last Splatfest to dictate the basic story of the next game.

Marie won the last Spatfest of Splatoon 1 (Callie vs. Marie), which set up the story for Splatoon 2.

Chaos won the last Splatfest of Splatoon 2 (Chaos vs. Order). Note that Pearl was backing Chaos and Marina was backing Order.

Also worth noting is that in the future they have finally moved beyond gender, as people simply choose their “style” at the start of the game, and all clothing and hairstyles are available to everyone.

Now get him on Colbert to talk about this.

2 Lord 2 Rings

It’s been forever since I’ve read it as well, but the last graf of the book actually implies she hooked up with the Bug Guy!

Counterpoint: then I don’t get to hear Zhongli’s downright buttery EN voice. And as a Zhongli simp, that is a morally reprehensible notion.

The important questions being asked here.

Ugh, me too. It’s like a veil has been lifted and I don’t like what I see.

Hah. Well if being kind never inconvenienced the person doing the kindness, it would probably be a natural follow up to every encounter. Being aware of how you act and why can be a good start to changing things

“I’ve just become self-aware.” just became my favorite opening utterance to a random comment section thread i’ve seriously ever heard.

I find east coast manners kind of exhausting. EVERYONE expects to have a conversation, and I’m an introvert. I remember flying in to Philly late at night and getting a taxi, and finding it really stressful that I was expected to carry on a conversation with the cab driver when all I wanted was to get somewhere I could

(having mentally pictured a stereotypical gruff guy from Philly who would curse at you for shivering when you’re out in the cold without a coat like a dumbass, even as he’s giving you the coat off his own back)

I’ve just become self-aware. I’m nice but I’m not kind. I always pass on my sympathies in the most Canadian way I can with a ‘sorry’ here and there among many other platitudes. But my mind is always saying ‘but please don’t ask me to do something for you’.  I’m an asshole.  dammit.

Ugh... Great, a game that has potential bogged down in grind to push microtransactions and a summoning system that costs way more than its worth.
