I think we as gamers need to use reverse psychology on valve and pretend we don't want HL3. Tell them we are over the wait and now just want a new different toy. This will scare them and force them to release info and or start development. Because let's be honest, if there was work being done on HL 3 we would be aware…

Totally agree. If there are great games, the console will sell gangbusters. Simple as that. Just not enough great games on it. Some great ones to be sure, but not the steady stream that a console needs to keep up sales growth.

The Gamecube also had a weird controller, was purple, and did not play DVDs, but it was otherwise not very different from the other systems. It had better specs than the PS2, several good third-party exclusives, and lots of ported games from third parties. It did not do well as I recall.

It always annoyed me that there's an Alienware on there... no good glorious god gamer is going to use an Alienware!
