I think we as gamers need to use reverse psychology on valve and pretend we don't want HL3. Tell them we are over the wait and now just want a new different toy. This will scare them and force them to release info and or start development. Because let's be honest, if there was work being done on HL 3 we would be aware

It was already released and then wiped from our collective memories because we were not yet ready for it.

Totally agree. If there are great games, the console will sell gangbusters. Simple as that. Just not enough great games on it. Some great ones to be sure, but not the steady stream that a console needs to keep up sales growth.

The Gamecube also had a weird controller, was purple, and did not play DVDs, but it was otherwise not very different from the other systems. It had better specs than the PS2, several good third-party exclusives, and lots of ported games from third parties. It did not do well as I recall.

Too late, I already got a PS4. I'm going to have to wait until the Kinect-less One drops to $299 or less in 5 or 6 years.

Amazing what happens when you put a gamer in charge of the gaming division, isn't it?

They are learning. But that knowledge doesn't carry to the next generation. MS has one and only one thing in mind, their wallet. They don't give a damn about their customers. If only someone with some firing braincells was loud enough to make them understand that their customers' satisfaction = bigger wallet.

No one wins with a tablet free Wii U.

Anyone that paid for Live only to get access to Netflix, HBO Go and all that stuff was... well, not smart, to put it mildly.

Comparing the Kinect and the Wii U Gamepad isn't exactly right. The Wii U was designed around the gamepad, and it is marketed as the Wii U's main attraction, without it we're just looking at decade old hardware. In contrast, Kinect was a tack-on with limited appeal, and it is marketed as just one feature of the

Everything is a gimmick until it catches on.
We said the same thing about the DS touch screens, the Wii motion controls, and even the Wii u gamepad. But pretty much all 3 companies are following suit in some form or another.

Remember when they said the X1 wouldn't even work if Kinect wasn't plugged in? We've come a long way.

No the Wii U's gamepad is the wii u's main asset.

Ahahahaha! How many people are eating crow now? Great news for MS.

Remember when this was supposed to be impossible? Man, their engineering has come a long way.

With sales so far behind, I don't think they could afford to wait on it.

...and then the sales numbers started rolling in.

It'll never happen they said...

It always annoyed me that there's an Alienware on there... no good glorious god gamer is going to use an Alienware!

Real gamers don't preorder many video games. Real gamers also only use their consoles for netflix. Forget Sony, forget Microsoft, forget Gamestop...build a PC.
