Notice that we're on a thread about graphics, resolution and FPS. Games need to be good to be good (stupid phrase...). I was talking about just graphics.

I have seen mantle and unfortunately you won't have it for the X1 [1] (even though it wouldn't really be necessary). The X1 has a card of the previous generation and thus doesn't have the necessary logic.

I don't know, but I seriously doubt it. On PC it's not even common in the game itself, you mostly have to change it in the .ini file.

Interesting design matters most, you are right. The problem is that consoles hinder and blur all this. There are so many things not possible because of consoles.

Exactly, it's pretty problematic when their drivers don't work half of the time and the cards aren't even usable on other operating systems. And to top it all, the card breaks already after 2 years.

You mean the consoles that can't even run Skyrim? Nothing is hassle free, on PC you can at least repair it yourself if the developers are too lazy.

You should check the Field of View setting, this mostly makes people sick, higher FPS will never make you sick. The contrary will.

I often wonder why some of you people get these problems (no offense). Is it because you don't know how to maintain/setup a PC? Because you overbloat your PC with software/malware?

I pick 60FPS (and higher), 1080p (and higher) and the best graphics. That's why I pick a PC over consoles (next to a million other advantages like openness). I still find it sad that 60fps/1080p isn't standard yet for consoles, even though full HD has been the standard when last generation just came out...
