Dawkins has become most famous in recent years for being an abrasive, snarky atheist? I don't dislike him for being an atheist, I just question if he's really the world shattering thinker that so many people who follow him claim him to be.

I suppose there are certainly more serious aspects of genetic study that still goes on in evolutionary biology (like the work that Dawkins theorized about back at the beginning of his career) but it seems like it's become a super popular subject that's used to justify everything dating preference to fad diets to…
Yeah, I was looking at comparison pictures from her now and back in her Dawson's Creek days and she looks almost completely the same. Them genes! And also skincare...
I'm not saying that he's irrelevant, it just seems to me that he's spent the majority of the last 30 or so years being a talking head for his own atheist beliefs rather than actually contributing to the overall body of scientific knowledge. Maybe I'm incorrect?
Now, I get that atheists like this guy because they enjoy hearing their own opinions reverberated in an echo chamber as much as anyone else, but has Richard Dawkins actually contributed anything to the larger public sphere in his career? Are there those who were devoutly religious until they read an article about…
I love Clinton but he was very, very wrong about that. :(
Yeah, it does seem like she's got a big bruise on her arm for some reason. The rest of it I think is just misapplication of bronzer and that horrible orange background setting off her hair and makeup. I don't know how anyone manages to look good with a lot of these garish red carpet backgrounds.
Oh, I think she looks alright as far as things go. She certainly looks healthier and more cohesive than she has in the past. I just wish someone stop her form buying all of these ghastly dresses. She's no Donna Summer.
Yeah, I would have preferred to see low, strappy sandals or something with a length like that. The giant bedazzled pumps don't led a lot to the look.
She does, and I feel bad to snark but I don't know how she ever got such a glowing review out of the Fashion Police hags with this look. It's a little bizarre, to be honest.
Is there something about "poorly fitted, cheap and wrinkly" that reads as sophisticated as well? There's nothing going on with this look that doesn't read as 70's cokehead, yet she keeps doing it again and again on the red carpet. This girl is dead set against learning anything from anything.
I couldn't stop reading it as "sharts" either.
The dress is very pretty but it looks like someone's dog peed on her veil. That nasty tulle doesn't go with anything else in this picture, why'd they choose it?
It's funny because this denim bucket hat is a very plausible Joey Potter look.
Bret's belt is too cool for school.
There are pros and cons to having a child at any age. However, the biggest advantage that most women today see in delaying child rearing until their 30's and 40's is that people in that age bracket are generally much more financially secure than people in their early 20's. To be able to really give your child the best…
So says a man whose only asset that he can bring to a relationship is his mustache.
Yeah, you were spot on with that. That was an incedible career victory for her and while a lot of her solo stuff before was really popular it was nothing like Single Ladies.
Yeah, I always figured that "Upgrade You" song was kind of a two way street. They both assisted each other's careers when their relationship got more serious and started heading into marriage/baby territory. The combination of assets alone must have been incredible. Beyonce's public image really changed in 2008 around…
She seems like the most self-aware out of group of sisters, which says something, I guess. She's brash and fun and she doesn't take herself too seriously. I think she seems like a pretty cool person.
