I wasn’t super into it but I remember it being neat enough and me largely “just waiting for launch”...and by the time that rolled around the game had lost so much steam and I’d lost interest. It’s a shame because it had some neat ideas in an otherwise pretty static genre IIRC.

Man, this reminds me of how WB handled their DC MOBA, Infinite Crisis, some years back.

Watching how the ESA, and now apparently Reedpop as well, drop the ball so bloody hard with their annual show is beyond impressive.

Not even Hard Gay could sell Xbox in Japan.

This is the kind of donor-driven, brainless malarky we will continue to have in this nation until those idiots start doing something about campaign finance reform. They cry about needing to spent so much of their days fundraising but like...you fuckin don’t, you literally can change the rules and you have the fuckin

But why? Simply having massively dominant marketshare alone, especially when there’s a host of very publicly documented and verifiable factors to support why this might be the case, doesn’t mean that there’s anything anticompetitive going on inherently.

Well, partially because Sony isn’t buying up major publishers and then making their games platform-exclusive, at least not yet.

Wait, are you trying to tell us that PHIL SPENCER MIGHT LIE TO US?

Give more men in games skirts and let’s make this perviness properly equal opportunity, thank you very much. Make skirts gender neutral.

Man, bloopers sure have changed a lot since the days of the old Jackie Chan blooper reels during the credits. A few fun behind the scenes shots and an outake are kinda cool I guess, but bloopers they do not make.

outside of my words at least

And this dumbass shit is why I do my best to limit my presence online in general. Not that I’ll ever be anyone of note worth deepfaking in any capacity or anything, but I want to ensure as little of “me” (outside of my words at least) is incorporated into these generative AI’s as possible.

I don’t know what they can do, but that trailer really didn’t do them many favors. It wasn’t “bad” in that if it wasn’t an Arkham game in the Batman universe using the Suicide Squad that it could be a pretty neat looter-shooter and all! Add in a few more colors so we’re shooting and things that aren’t just purple and

Do not worry too much about what you hear regarding Nexon. Most of what you will see on the internet is not accurate. There will be no delay in development, and there is nothing to worry about.

But that’s...literally the problem. And has been since Destiny 1. To figure out what the hell is going on you either have to have played since the start or spend hours on YouTube catching up on content that was either vaulted/killed after a season or otherwise not explained in-game in the slightest.

Don’t those seasonal stories “poof” at the end of the expansion cycle?

Interesting take! I was already planning on doing my usual “ignore the main quest and focus on any and all side stuff whenever possible”, but now I’m going to spend extra time making sure I find those side missions and stuff. Usually they’re more fluff affair, but some of my favorite characters and moments in RPG’s

Between this and lurking the reddit/checking out some other impressions, it’s crazy how many of the criticisms are either identical (“Why is nothing/so little explained narratively?”) or so very similar design-wise to what I remember from launch this is wild and hilarious to me.

When Microsoft announced the Series S I thought it was a fairly shrewd way of expanding their marketshare by having a “budget” option that was theoretically not going to really increase overhead/development costs too much.

On the one hand it’s Rocksteady. They deliver banger after banger and really, out of most of the developers in the industry right now are one of the devs I have confidence will not shit the bed spectacularly and will release a solid game.
