Meanwhile, even BF2042 puts the new specialist, weapons, and vehicle all in the first like 20-30 levels of the BP. I think the specialist is like, rank 4 (which is basically 1-2 matches).

Gotta do it all quick before that retail investor money dries up, because GameStop still doesn’t have any revenue to speak of nor any actual business plan to ever be profitable. No, NFT’s absolutely don’t count, that bottom already fell out.
IIRC both are issues due to your exclusively license to play the game (in most instances). Games can restrict your ability to stream them through the EULA, though I have no clue how many actually do and even less of a clue how many companies actually enforce this given the benefits of promotion via streaming.
You don’t own the rights to broadcast the game. You own a license to play the game. Consequently tournaments can’t broadcast the game, especially with money involved, without the approval of the owner of the product/IP. You can do it, but if the IP holder wants to shut you down they have every legal right to do so. In…
It’s literally mindless reactionary bullshit following the same logic of, “Well if those libs keep calling me a Nazi then I guess I have no choice but to join the Nazi party!”
This is the kind of ludicrous white knight bullshit that drives people to vote Republican, just in case you’re wondering.
One would think! They picked up a lot of mid-sized developers last generation (Sony did too) and the expectation was they were gearing up to kick of this generation with a bang. Lots of reveals when they announced the Series X|S and while there weren’t imminent dates things seemed to be on track for Microsoft to have…
I...guess this is news? Can police exist in any game without the game doing a deep-dive into the current issues, especially within the US, surrounding policing? Don’t get me wrong, they’re BIG and continue to be unaddressed and I hate copaganda as much as the next person but like...
Please Phil, tell us how well you’ve done taking over the Xbox division and spending a whole generation preparing for this one. Tell us all about it as you blame your bad stable of first-party games, lack of first-party games despite multiple other acquisitions, and are apparently a massive, multi-billion dollar…
According to Wikipedia, the Pokemon brand is the single most valuable entertainment/gaming IP on the planet. It’s surely not totally accurate, but I have few doubts that Pokemon is absolutely up there.
So the obviously unpopular BP system they chose will stick with the game for two whole seasons, and they’re continuing to have big problems making support fun and desireable to play.
Sucks for the Chinese players who will lose access to the games, but otherwise...awesome. Fuck working with the CCP and screw a lot of the behavior and decisions by ATVI. China makes up a tiny part of their overall revenue (3% for the company, and apparently around 10% for Blizzard), but after shit like the…
Protip to brands: Do EXTENSIVE research on any streamer you may partner with. Why? Because many, if not most of them, will likely have incidents like this living on the internet forever.
I swear, I’m just going to start treating AAA multiplayer games as launching in alpha and needing 1-2 years of work before they’re actually ready to launch. That sure seems to be the bloody trend lately.
While I can’t say this is $44B worth of entertainment, I’m absolutely having a blast watching a narcissistic billionaire do his best “Sideshow Bob walking onto every rake” impression while taking something like the blue checkmarks, the solution to a verification problem, and turning it into the problem it was designed…
This is the best entertainment that someone spending $44B can buy.
“4-on-4 casual football game, played between AI-controlled characters, with player input at fun and tactical moments.”
I continue to hope for a future where the Microsoft deal falls through and the Activision C-suite gets kicked to the curb with lead parachutes. It’s never happening, but we could be so lucky.
I understand Twitter is really important for some folks and all but...
Only remotely relevant on older/very low-spec machines. Admittedly I have a very capable rig now but that was very, very much not always the case.
