Zero interest until they remove this requirement altogether. It’s fairly easy to circumvent and doesn’t really add meaningful security from hackers spamming accounts.
“Bethesda decided”
IIRC Superstonk was just a more focused community that sprang from WSB and has considerable overlap in users. WSB is still big on GME and AMC with the “DIAMOND HANDS”, while lamenting that that sneak fuck Ryan Cohen who they really really liked for a while actually turned out to be in it for the money (WHO COULD HAVE…
“Oh heavens no, they’re portraying us exactly how we act?! Were...we really that insufferable, obnoxious and cringe? We...were? Well shit...CANCEL THIS DOCUMENTARY LIKE RYAN COHEN CANCELED OUR BBBY INVESTMENTS!” - /r/wallstreetbets, basically.
I feel terrible for the in-the-trenches devs at 343, but H:I has just been bad news and bad decisions left and right : /
One day there’s gonna be real consequences for these losers. One day...I very much look forward to that day so we can all cheer as they cry about wanting to go home while they’re dragged away by the cops.
I’m increasingly on team, “Let’s out all these people publicly, and loudly, and then ship them off to the Pacific Trash Heap where they can form Kekistan.”
Dollar store knockoff to imply it’s a cheap replica, and “Data” as in the character from Star Trek, who Zuckerberg is often compared to. Which is in insult to Data, but it still sorta works.
I’m currently enjoying their metaverse adventures burning billions of dollars while their $2B+ they spent on Oculus and VR still not paying returns yet.
Deformation of character is sure a pretty apt spelling mistake on his part.
It’s weird when gaming editors are out there trying to brag about not knowing about semi-notable games as if that’s some kinda badge of honor that they’re “too good” for the game, rather than an indictment on their knowledge of the current gaming landscape.
Honestly I’m wondering how many more years of Yves Guillemot bumbling around aimlessly without any hint of strategy of intention that the board is going to put up with.
“No one can quite seem to make sense of GameStop’s current business strategy, least of all its pivot to crypto.”
There are similarities, and Bungie vaulting content is lame, but this is completely different.
“Ybarra defended the game, saying Blizzard built it so players could “literally do 99.5% of everything in the game” for free while still getting a full “Diablo experience.””
Please don’t give another crypto grift that’s doing the “hur dur, I’m acting retarded for attention, it’s intentional!” any more attention : | : |
EA’s social/community teams are wild. I swear, it’s like they try to be the most hated brand out there with occasional reminders of how awful the companies “voice” is. Between this and the old “a sense of pride and accomplishment” bit it’s just like...does anyone on EA’s social/community teams play games? Do their…
“Just trust us, fam.” - every shitty publisher or abusive person ever when promising they’ve totally changed.
Honestly, I’m surprised the board hasn’t kicked him out yet. Ubi’s been flailing for a while now, largely carried by AC and to a lesser extent Far Cry. And their future is...a mess, with multiple shooters in development that compete with each other/existing Ubi live-service products for seemingly no reason.
