The thing is that it isn’t really about any *particular* wealth range. I live in San Francisco, got a job at the tail end of last year that pays more than well enough that the stimulus isn’t necessary to me, but since I didn’t get hired until late late in the year, I didn’t make enough money to get classed out.

As B’dilliBay said above - it’s a stimulus, so if your family went and spent it on non-essential items it’s still working. 

Hell, the Overton window is so far right that the mainstream Democratic caucus is basically the 1980s GOP.
