I'll take my Father's word as a Chief Captain on the 747-400, simulator instructor for NASA & Boeing that when a plane is junk, it's junk. That includes the A320, A330, A340, A380. Boeing's are well made, Airbus'=Citroen 2CV's.

I think Airbus has a plane that's been going after the C-130 market but it's pure junk. Plus, the C-130 can drop that daisy cutter bomb.
