Same, just finished Mad Men and decided to watch Arrow because abs…fast forward and I think it took me maybe a day and a half to watch season 2

yaaas rock-a-bye bivalve
Jonathan Groff has the most soothing voice, so an episode with him talking for most of it was already a win in my book.
I'm not a big commenter here, but I do read most of the comments on the recaps of the shows I watch. With this show I have less of an identification issue on a queer/straight level and more of an age/stage of life level. However with this recap, it's easy to see how I can understand or enjoy something on one level…
Ah, you're forgetting Yuna Kim, who is definitely getting gold or silver, barring some freak accident. South Korea didn't do the team event but she is very much in contention.
I recommend it. It's more about Pearce's recovery from a brain injury and his desire to snowboard again than snowboarding itself but it was really moving. I think there's a review floating around this site somewhere, if you're interested.
He IS getting old, considering the Japanese kid that beat him was like 15 (??). White's definitely had his time in the sun
True that. Have you seen The Crash Reel? Kevin Pearce got a TBI right before the 2010 Olympics and I really think he could have beaten Shaun, judging from the events between Torino and Vancouver.
I have a feeling he would have blown it in slopestyle too…at least he only had to fail once.
But skiathalon doesn't even have the guns! It only gets fun when someone falls or a ski breaks or it's the last minute of the race
Oh I started following their joint instagram they made for the games, I can't get enough. I would love more than anything for them to be covering skating on NBC proper
Eh that's all I got. I'd rather watch an hour of halfpipe quals than an hour of skiathalon (which I did over the weekend). The fact is the there's just less to go around during the winter games
I think they were better in 2010 but Davis/White have been beating them pretty consistently in the past 4 years. Virture/Moir definitely aren't at the top of their game anymore
The qualifiers are where Shaun White succeeded so they have to show something to counterbalance his flopping in the main event
I started recording events on NBCSN when they happened live (and by events I mean figure skating) and found that much more enjoyable than having to watch bits and pieces throughout primetime. Also Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir are much better commentators, so it's a win win situation.
I feel like after reading about the real thing (or watching it) in Rape of Europa, watching a fictionalized version just won't cut it
I remember finding this show streaming on ABC's website when I was in high school in 2007 and it was like a revelation of normalcy, I loved every second of it.
It's totally a thing…aka people still call me by my full name (but most likely not bc of this show or any other)
Hey, there are some Lifetime movie classics!
This was my favorite christmas carol when I was little, so I'm kind of sad they skipped the first verse…because that is the only verse I actually know.
