Better keep it a hatchback Chevy, most diesel owners prefer the more “European” hatchback and wagon body styles. I would ask for a wagon, but I know better. However, since the Cruze hatch is already a thing, what better opportunity than dump that oil burner in there and call it a day.

I agree. A friend of mine has a w8 6-speed manual Passat wagon and it is one of the coolest sounding, most competent dailies out there. Even the b6 Passats with awd and the vr6 was a far better drivers car than the b7 and it came in wagon form too.

Oh yes, please do

That’s a fair point as well. I have had several customers who play in a higher price bracket come drive Mazdas and say they remind them of BMWs in terms of responsiveness and driving feel. Compared to, say, a Lexus, I still think that’s a compliment, y’know?

“It just felt like a car designed for people that don’t want a driving experience, just a middle of the line sofa to transport them from point A to point B.”

Why the hate? It’s silly but looks (and sounds) fun as hell!

In my experience people are more likely to say something if you’re by yourself, just not in a bad way. I’ve run into a lot of owners who have come up and talked to me when I was alone and checking out their car, sometimes you get interesting stories or learn things that only someone with one of those cars would know.

Can I go to pebble beach alone and still have a great time that is worth the experience, an experience that I can only reminisce about with myself in the future?

Disagree, it’s a car show. Walk around and take pictures, nobody is going to say shit if you are by yourself.

A Lambo beat an S-Class?!?

But it will never have this.

Ahh. Let’s replace the reliable and secure thing with something infinity more complex and likely to break to save 15 seconds of our lives everyday. This is so American it should have been posted yesterday.

Jason’s Kinja backog of post drafts:

“Union costs” aren’t red tape. They are negotiated, mutually agreed upon contracts just like car companies have with any other supplier.

Just to be clear — the skill involves actually having to work for the power, compared to the point-and-shoot V8 model which is a “mash the throttle and smile” kind of car. It isn’t necessarily the stick shift, but that helps.

Getting the most out of a RWD, 340hp car with a manual arguably takes more skill than an AWD, 550hp car with an automatic.

I’m equal parts udderly surprised and amoosed.

Dude should have steered clear of the cops.
