I <3 this.

Looks like the Teletubbies are going for a ride.

This ruins my theory that I have with my wife that Shelley Winters died in water in all of her movies... Poseidon Adventure, A day in the Sun... it goes on and on...

They chose the 964 precisely because they aren't the 930 chassis. The suspension is totally different, its stiffer and has factory-designed AC and other improvements. I own a 964 proudly, and am psyched with the Singer decision, as it is bringing these cars' excellent features to light... they've otherwise suffered

Absolutely gorgeous driver-centric design. Wow. I would consider making some kind of homage to this, on an Ultra Light chassis maybe? wow... all I can say.

Fleet Week in Perugia, so stylish it requires the ladies to lure sailors with fashions below the knee.

No, Oregon doesn't use any salt on the roads at all... this makes for icy driving, but the cars last a lot longer, except for the windshields from broken rocks... they do spread a kind of gravel on the roads in winter and it's hard on the finish surfaces and the glass.

I have gotten as good as 24 MPG, in long cruising, but in town its around 13MPG. I do have other cars, but I have no fear about running this all year. I do have dedicated winter wheels and tires (shown here) and I run summer performance tires on 17" rims otherwise.

FYI, I drive my 964 all year, and do all the work myself. The C4 (AWD) is bulletproof.

I concur. Here is mine.

Tiff is so awesome. He should be part of American Top Gear.

AteUpWithMotor has a great series of articles on the origins/development of this style. Great site... Takemetothere->

Back in the day I used a '68 Chevy C20 Pickup 2WD with a livestock bed in the back... 3 on the tree. Not only did it haul Natty, but it functioned as the tailgater's paradise, as well as the parade float at homecoming. Perfect. AND when the steering box failed it allowed me a decent excuse to pull all left-handed

I have something like this on my '28 Model A, but it only goes up to 3

That's a sex toy.

With a 964 C4 with over 200K miles on it... I'd have to disagree with you on the AWD system being prone to problems. On Rennlist.com, AWD has only come up once as a problem for an owner. I just don't know where you're getting your information.

Is this the next G Wagen then?

Don't forget too, that when the steel in the rivet cools, it contracts, pulling the joint even tighter than you could ever bolt it.
