"THIS is 'white people' oppression: We used to be the only voice. Now we hold the only microphone."

Their beliefs are that non-white races are inferior. Which makes marching in support of those beliefs racist and hateful.

I really enjoyed this! There were a lot of things that I worried would potentially bother me going into it, but none of them so much as crossed my mind while watching the finished product.

Of course movies don't "program" children. But stuff can still be influential, especially if you see it at the right age. Some people choose their careers based on pop culture that they loved as kids.

I agree that it's hyperbolic, but to offer a counter-argument, or at least put things in perspective: the people who devoured this film as ten-year-olds are now old enough to vote/be a part of the alt-right.

It's for sure propaganda, but I wouldn't say that observation alone is enough to negate the criticisms. Being able to explain the film's tone is not nearly as important as what the film, its tone, etc., wants to make us feel.

The thing that annoys me the most about Street Fighter is that they gave Deejay the part that was clearly written for Balrog - and vice versa - for absolutely no reason.

It's either that or admit he made a mistake.

Correct horse battery staple.

I'd be on my way to gettin' a gumball!

On any other week this would be amazing and hilarious, but this maybe isn't the best time to go around calling the President a chicken in an extremely public way.

Those'd be them!

As someone who's spent the last three weeks at work trying and failing to get families to pre-order The Lion King for the fifth time in 20 years, I think that bubble has officially burst.

Are we still allowed to bemusedly discuss such topics, going into detail about the arguments both for and against it, so long as we don't really care one way or the other and just find it interesting?

The new showrunner for Iron Fist is also the writer of Elektra.

The most credible theory I've heard is that Marvel TV couldn't find anyone who was genuinely passionate about either project, but they were also too stubborn to scrap them completely. So they hired Buck, whose pitch for both shows was essentially "You need it done; I'll get it done."

Sure, but AoS wouldn't be using any of those characters either way.

I mean, ignoring the Royal Family and the X-Men (read: Xavier's team), is there really any difference between Inhumans and Mutants?

Chris Parnell was in this episode anyway. He played one of the Europeans in the embassy.

I came here to ask this. Ennis was never the most-used member of the cast (arguably the least, in fact), but if they're playing up the idea that everyone in StarCrossed was 'chosen,' he really shouldn't be able to just leave the group.
