Wasn’t the solution to a “Bad Guy With a Gun” supposed to be “Good Guy(s) With Guns”? Why didn’t all those open carry heroes at the protest prevent this from happening? Instead of running the other way & making it harder for the police to tell who the “Bad Guys” were?

Democrats? Raising hell? Using social media? Drowning out the speaker?

I do find it bizarre that people are insulting you over your comment, a comment where you point out the US military intentionally put good men in harm’s way, really death’s way, yet people here, rah rah flag-waving types, are defending the military’s right to kill their own men and women as an experiment.

Maybe things will change for women but right now, a photo like that could demolish your career. I don’t even care about the social embarrassment - what if I want to lead in my field? People don’t like to see a woman succeed. They will dig up whatever they can find, and a nude photo or some explicit anything from 20…

I mean...I dunno. This seems a bit silly. And I’m a big girl.

Companies should be able to freely advertise products that help get people in shape. So what if they have a girl in a bikini or a shirtless guy with a sixpack. Boo hoo, maybe don’t eat that tub of Hagen Daz and you’d feel better about yourself and not have to try and censor things that hurt your feelings.

What keeps me from wanting kids is I have this almost pathological fear that, despite all my best efforts, I will succeed only in raising a psychopath who winds up a serial killer or con artist.

Look, it actually doesn’t matter WHAT you are doing, but you are getting time to do something that matters in your life besides working. That is what people don’t get. I have been working constantly since I got out of school and it’s frustrating to see people that decide they want to have kids and get months of time…

That’s not completely true though. So the dudes that get time off also expelled a baby from their body? People that adopted also somehow managed to expel a baby from their body? No. It’s an allowance for creating a new family and dealing with that. It’s a chance to spend some time on something you find to be important…

Nothing I read today encourages me to want to have kids. I am convinced most parents are less happy for the first 15-20 years of childhood and potentially only exceed in their later years. No thanks.
