The M12 was not a re-bodied Diablo. Vector updated the W8 platform and in trying to make the car more reliable (??) and less expensive, sourced the V12 from Lamborghini.
I think the issue is that, at least in my experience, the car wasn’t that expensive so a lot of young people bought them. I know personally of a friend that bought one just out of high school in ‘98 and he still has it.
Developing this and the new BMW X7 at the same time? Coincidence?
Nice tease. I believe this post may have been much better with more than 1 photo.
And it just got elected president.
It was my birthday, I was 17 and my mother let me drive her ‘94 Z28 with a posi rear and 330 ftlbs. CAN WE PLEASE HAVE A NURBURG STYLE TRACK NEAR NYC?? PLEASE!!! BILLIONAIRES?????
Going in reverse in opposite lane, genius.
Press conferences are boring. The Same questions every time. Every. Time.
How old are you? 50? Snap chat is fun. This is funny. Why so serious?
We need more of this from them. This sport has lost all emotions to protect corporate overlords= boring. Where are the playboys, the fights, the drama, the spirited competition. All the drivers walk around like mannequins biting their tongue= boring!!
Keeping a car like this in the perfect rev range when dealing with traffic?!?
I thought this too but he wouldn’t be closing in on a Cayman if he were down 2 gears.
Trust me it’s not geared that short. That would make the M2's top speed around 130/40.
Not full of it but he should be saying 2nd, 3rd, 4th, just an honest mistake. Lime Rock is a 3rd gear track.
I’m sorry. Into 6th on the straight at Lime Rock?? Into 4th into turn 1?
I don’t know why I read this.
I call this era in automotive history as “Peak Hot Wheels.”
I’m sure the M4 would have done even better if it wasn’t in Efficient mode.
