I was hoping it would use some standard algorythms. After all, something like rock-n-roll isnt hard to code then plug in the randoms. I will still be keeping an eye on the term "fractal music" and hoping for it to merge with some standard genre algorythms in some program.

Hmmm... combine this with LifeHackers tip on ambient lighting with rope lights. Can it be hooked into the speaker outlet from the computer? Would be a nice "get your attention" feature for my server. Instead of "speaking" (which irritates everyone in the house) it could speak to the speaker flashing the desk lights.

I use all 3. Windows for desktop (toys and games), Mac for portables, Linux for server. What I would like to see is a breakdown of happy Win7 users for how many were fresh installs vs upgrades from WinXP or upgrades from Vista. Thats important info to get out IMHO #operatingsystems

Depends what you mean by "main". I use Debian Linux for a personal internet server (my web, email, chats, ftp, etc). I use Mac for my portables (good basic apps, ease of use, security, stability). And I use WinXP for my desktop (mostly for the games and new "toy" things) #operatingsystems

I used to have a fancy camera where you could do the separately from the picture. I found that setting the flash off, then taking the shot, got me the best pictures I ever took. People were amazed at finally being caught looking like themselves.

People would be surprised how little computer it takes to replace most of your internet services if you dont share the computer with thousands of other users. It could host home web pages, handle secondary email accounts, even host some internet games.

I know Im old. An old DOS guru dragged unwillingly into Windows. But my preference on my linux server, and DEFINETLY on a CD or USB drive, would be a non-GUI installation. It seems that if Im going for tiny I would want to avoid the heavy overhead of an X-windows system.
