EMT here: We test our AEDs every morning, and they tell you if the battery is nearing low. This thing probably hasn’t been checked in 6-months minimum, which is negligent in my book.

We do live in an imperfect world. Sometimes that means you owe people for you negligence.

Although if you have an AED on board, it is reasonable to assume it would be properly maintained.
