If you have been in a hospital, you have been treated by one. Most nurses work three 12s a week and much prefer it. More days off or they can pick up a 4th day occasionally, get OT, and still have 3 days off.

Please go ask all the nurses that work 3 12+hr shifts a week standing and walking and keeping people from dying and then picking up extra shifts on top of that. It can be done.

I had to sleep on my back for a while recently due to surgery, and as a lifelong side sleeper, I found myself lying awake for hours bored out of my mind. But if I try not to think at all or listen to music or sleep meditations, my overactive mind wanders just as much and it’s not helpful.
