The reason people ditch cars that have life left in them, is that it’s easier to make a $500/mo. car payment, for a car that probably has a warranty and likely less to go wrong mechanically, than come up with that $3,500 and be down a vehicle for the duration of the repair.

I wanted to get a new car. My 2014 Kia’s clear coat is peeling off everywhere. However, since Kia just replaced the engine and transmission, I’m thinking about keeping it and getting a $4K-$5K respray on it in the same color. It only has 78K miles and everything works on it.

i mean, his whole PR image at the time was satanism so i’m not entirely shocked they felt a need to double check.
