We can argue many of the choices made int he prequels but they solidly established that Obi-Won was somewhere around 15 years older than Anakin. So it would make sense for force-ghost Anakin to look a around ten years younger than force-ghost Obi-Won.

(Yes, I know that technically Anakin was only in his early forties when he died. But Sebastian Shaw was nearly eighty when he appeared in RotJ. This was back when Obi-Wan and Anakin were supposed to be contemporaries, as opposed to 15-20 years apart in age.)

DVDs usually contain a version with the director’s commentary, which is basically 2 hours of explaining the movie.
