On the other hand (and I say this as a proud PS4 owner with no plans to get an X1) MS can be trusted to set up a bunch of reliable servers far more than Sony can.

Also thank you for calling him Dr. Bashir. Not long ago I was watching GoT with some pals and made that joke and they were all too young to have seen DS9. It was so, so sad.

I think it’s the ridiculously gleeful expressions half of them sport that freaked me out the most.

Nah, I’m going to keep preordering for every game I’ll consider possibly getting.

They probably are financing it plus they will be providing free dev support and tools etc. If you think this game could be made in Tokyo on a budget of $2m then you’re dreaming.

The amount they’ll get from Kickstarter isn’t even close to how much it’s going to cost to develop. They’re just not sure that people actually want it. So they’ll let people fund it, then if it succeeds and they see that there is actual interest, then they’ll probably contribute themselves.

Can you blame them? As much as fans love it, it wasn’t a huge success as a series.

Sony trying to get free press from it as they can’t be arsed to fund it themselves and expect the fans to.

So Sony, despite all their cheap potshots at everyone else, were the worst at keeping their promises.

I need to catch up on my Marvel reading. This Secret Wars mash up sounds as awesome as the Age of Apocalypse. And that one had me going to the comic book store every Wednesday.

I’ll agree with that. KOTOR is the best Star Wars story ever. I really want KOTOR 3

yes. but it doesn’t mean you can ever unsee it.

As others have pointed out, that’s highly incorrect. You could get way nicer instruments for Rock Band, including real Ion drums and Fender guitars. And actual game-wise, being able to buy a huge library of songs and use them from game to game is way better than the alternative.

It took me a bit, but I realized what I don’t like about the new presentation. It’s not the actual band singing the song. It’s distracting. In the previous games, the band was cartoony, so there was a disconnect— it didn’t have to be the original band making the music because it’s some silly cartoon characters I put

That’s just not true. I play real drums, and the RB 2-3 Pro drums are leagues better than the GHWT drums. The hit surface is better, the layout is more natural, and the kick pedal is incomparably better.

That was a poor decision since it was so markedly better than the Guitar Hero series.

That was a good write up and I agree with him. Rock Band doesn’t exist as a Guitar Hero competitor it was the natural evolution of the game. People seem to forget that HMX made Guitar Hero, Guitar Hero 2, and Rock the 80’s. They made Rock Band after Guitar Hero 2 so to me that’s their version of Guitar Hero 3.

Releasing optional instruments is not the same as pumping out yearly releases

This seems like a much better evolution of GH than the previous iterations. The problem for them however is competing with Rock Band. RB is supposedly bringing back their entire library and you can possibly replay all your songs that you’ve purchased over the years from the previous games. Why would anyone invest in

Is it bad that I exclusively buy StarCraft games for the campaigns?
