Or the other way to go about it is to just have the justice department give all the money it is spending "combating" piracy directly to Hollywood and the record companies. And that money comes from our taxes, so everyone pays the bill. Socialism wins again!

It is kind of hard to care much about television copyrights when you know you aren't a Nielsen viewer. You know you can watch it on your DVR legally for free or off some random shady website for free—either way you aren't watching any advertising or contributing monetarily to the show in any way so what's the

Not if Google finally becomes sentient first.

Are you a troll for the Justice Department? Trying to find out where to strike next?

You're misleading these children. 'Cause you're the destroyer, man.

I think Lily is the worst thing about the show, generally.

I like his list because it seems like an honest list of some regular dude.

That performance was fine. Nothing to comment about, really.

This reminds of the days of IRC when you would just jump into a random chatroom and say something like "Metallica Sucks!" and watch the nasty words fly back and forth. It was an innocent time, before we realized we were being something called "trolls".

I saw them at the Depot in SLC and they were amazing. Half the show was just the two of them and the other half was with a full band to play some of the stuff off of Brothers and Attack and Release.

Well, when you twist his words and sum them up in a snarky one-liner—gee, he does sound wrong!

I agree with you. I understood what they were trying to say by highlighting people from the pop world who have also scored films, but I think they missed the mark by implying that Composers are people who are classically trained people who write traditional scores with pretty melodies and Non-composers are outsiders

The thing is, when you say that I'm still not sure which party you are calling bad and which one you are calling horrible. I will agree that Obama is a way better president than George Bush. But only because George Bush was so incredibly terrible. I see George Bush as a horrible horrible instance of a system in which

I will take it down a notch—but I am not being willfully belligerent. I agree with TheBelgianWaffle that maybe there is another term that would describe it better. But I most definitely think that Johnny Greenwood is a composer. Nick Cave is a composer. Mark Mothersbaugh is a composer. Trent Reznor is a composer. And

I'm sorry—John Williams was just an example of someone who writes more conventionally accessible scores. I think Jonny Greenwood is an example of a pop outsider who also is an incredibly talented composer who can actually score a film in the traditional meaning of the word and can use classical orchestration.

I disagree with you, but we can still be friends. Well, maybe acquaintances.

I would like to defend Ron Paul as the only Republican candidate with enough knowledge about history to even debate rationally about foreign policy. The other candidates don't even seem to be aware of the history of our government's intervention in Iran among other things.

How do people still think there is that much of a difference between the two parties?

Just because you disagree with him doesn't make him crazy.

I totally disagree that you can't sit down and listen to the score for There Will Be Blood. I have listened to it a lot and think it is amazing. Just because it isn't filled with super catchy leitmotifs like a John Williams score doesn't mean anything.
