Not to be a wet blanket but CBGB's had become a generic rock club for several years prior to it's closing. In the end in was just as interchangeable with any number of rock clubs that are still in operation today.

No way. I remember when I started watching Cheers people used to ask me, "isn't Coach hilarious?" and I'd say "let me get back to you in ten years".

In his next interview David Simon will be heard saying, "I don't even own a TV".

In the right hands this could've been a great movie. It's a shame Lucas purposely went out of his way to make it corny.
