I don't understand all the talk about how "condescending" he is. Frankly, I find him inspiring - he's blunt and honest with his opinions, but he still has a love of humanity and a belief in our innermost good. I'm probably in the minority, but I think that perspective is realistic and something to look up to.

There's the scene where Nate gets super paranoid while doing bong rips that accurately mimics having a bad high, but that's more to do with pot just amplifying whatever mood you're in.
