Well, as an engineer at Volvo, spending most of my time on the development on the XC60, I can assure you it wasn’t made in China. It’s also assembled in the factory in Sweden

No airbags is the bigger roadblock to street legality. Lotus can’t sell the Elise in North America because it doesn’t have side airbags. The Valkyrie doesn’t even have front airbags by the looks of things.
Not to mention that there’s no way it will meet pedestrian impact regulations in any first world country.
Aston claims it’s about 95 percent of the way to a finalized design for the Valkyrie, with the possibility for a few more non-critical body modifications between now and the first run of prototypes.
Look, I sympathize. But if you are going to do it, do it right:
It’s been done...I see potential
Maserati reliability that’s not entirely unfounded.
We do have technology for detecting launches, regardless of our ability to counter them. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Defense_Support_Program
My Charger has it as part of the Performance Pages. It is completely useless, as it only measures in 5 deg increments. I’m hyper-sensitive to a non-straight steering wheel on a flat road, and get really annoyed by even 1 or 2 deg off center, so steering angle was something I was interested to find, but found…
If they used it in a predictive display of where you’d end up if you stayed the present course (as I believe some well-integrated rear-view camera displays that I’ve used were doing), it could be useful, though if you’re figuratively and literally playing it that close to the edge off-road, what you probably need is a…
Actually, for once the movies have it right.
As someone who likes to believe he’s a fan of off-road driving, but very rarely gets the chance, I will say that the steering angle display can be very helpful when navigating difficult trails.
May be great fun for the “paid” Driver, but sure is boring as heck for the “paying” Fans.
I agree that the GLC 63 coupe is a bit funky. The standard GLC63 looks a bit too normal. I’d give the Volvo the win on looks, but I’d drive the heck out of the Merc.
I actually like some of their stuff. Their electronics are all Huawei, but they’re nice looking. Their stuff, for the most part, is smart looking, handsome and understated. My wife bought me a second wedding band for my birthday from there. It’s a laser cut piece of aluminum that interlocks so the rings can move and…
I really don’t understand people who will go through the herculean effort of doing an engine swap, but can’t be troubled to source and install a window crank handle. Crack pipe for that reason alone.
Pfft only a green run, London has much more demanding pistes,
My windshield wipers are dull so I moved to Syria.
Why is Jalopnik paying attention to this nitwit?
What if pink elephants fly? Higher limits do not correlate to less accidents, limiting highway access (less on ramps), better visibility, banked curves, multiple separated lanes and good common sense lead to fewer accidents, PERIOD. If you ADD speed you add to the danger level OF an accident IF it occurs. …
