If I could live in a world where both of my cars (ie: the two mentioned above) get 60+ MPG instead of my current 30+ MPG (30 in S2000, 40 in Fit)...I’d sacrifice the S2000 for that.

And trust me, I don’t say this lightly. The S2000 is my favorite car ever built.

I would trade my S2000 in an instant for this. 

It is not a fun watch, but it is really, really worth a watch if you can build yourself up to it. If not, no judgment!

I agree with the message of this post, but the $15,000 hot lap thing seems more in line with track time being way too expensive for regular folks in general.

I too want to pay a ton of money for, or at least celebrate, an inefficient EV that looks like a 2005 Hummer H3 with a body kit.

This is/was my thinking on the matter. It seems too big and heavy to do much good.

Yeah, I do 9 and 3 but I never wrap my thumbs around the steering wheel. I’m not trying to destroy my hands.

If you modulate the clutch slowly and gain an understanding of the friction zone it works. I learned to drive a manual using this exact method when I was 18 and had a ‘91 Civic Si. 

I think it is less that people want meat substitutes than that they want something easy and convenient.

Agreed. I think every single team (other than Haas) can come out of this race feeling pretty decent about their odds this year.

With FSD, Tesla has also devised blood tests that require only very small amounts of blood and could be performed very rapidly using Model 3/Y/X/S.

I own two modified cars and have watched F1/MotoGP since I was ten years old.

I have enough experience in cars to know exactly how toxic much of this ‘community’ is.
