That’s a massive difference. The Yoko is a value snow tire too!

Yeah, if you can stay at home for a few days while everything is cleared up then this is probably advice you don’t have to be as concerned about.

If by slower and more cautiously you mean give 10x the space for acceleration/braking, maybe.

Still a solid chance you get stuck or lose it on a corner.

The only good excuse to not own snow tires in the snow belt.

I live in an apartment. I had a set of wheels (rotated by season) in my living room for a few years.

You’re driving expensive cars, you can manage tires.

I’ve had ‘good all-seasons’ and I’ve had ‘good snow tires.’

Snow tires rule. All-seasons suck in all-seasons.

Congrats on turning your summer tires into hockey pucks and putting other people’s safety at risk. Really cool.

Yes. It makes driving in the winter safer and more pleasant.

If you claim to be a car enthusiast (or a responsible person) and live in the snowbelt; if you don’t own snow tires you’re neither.

To its credit...

The Civic is really good & really well priced considering all it offers.

I love the Fit (I also own one), but for a person who wants something ‘nice’ the Civic is better....even if in most instances the Fit is at least as useful if not superior.

I had that thought initially as well. Like a 570 with 720 ‘face.’

How much of that has to do with the lack of availability/marketing? The Fit hasn’t been pushed in ads since about 2007 and are often heavily outnumbered at dealerships.

There have DEFINITELY been those takes about C8 Vette and other fast ‘sports’ cars.

Now get rid of any sort of audible cue and make everything instant, rather than gradually building? Death machine.

Is looking like the 720S really a bad thing? The thing looks like a vulcan starship in car form.

The Fit sold consistently well.

The profit margins are just bigger on the vastly inferior HRV.

I’ve never had a positive experience at a Subaru dealership.

The one time I’ve looked at a used subaru at a non-subaru dealership that was also an unpleasant experience.

Yes, the person who has driven an air-cooled beetle and old BMW cross country, regularly blogs about weird old concepts, and shows up to drift events thousands of miles from NYC definitely hates cars.

Disclaimer: I have met Raph at said drift event a few years back. Raph is exceedingly nice.

Not everyone who criticizes

Supercharged second gen Viper is comfortably the most scary thing I’ve ever driven.

No one should have 650 hp on the road. Especially not in a dumptruck like that.

Please stop going 100 MPH on the street.

Given we already face a climate crisis, the idea of empty cars just driving around seems an even bigger issue than a car driving around one person.

I have spent my entire life watching F1 and MotoGP. I subscribed to Hot Rod, Modified, Sport Compact Car, Super Street, Car & Driver, and Road & Track from age 10-18 or so. I have been modifying cars since I had the loose change to do so (around the same time I stopped subscribing to so many magazines & transitioned
