You didn’t pray hard enough, or believe deeply enough!
I live in the Bible Belt, and we have many prosperity gospel believers here. Not only do they think God blesses the faithful with money, they think He blesses the faithful with physical health, too. Got cancer? You didn’t pray hard enough, or believe deeply enough!
If we’re still around and the earth isn’t a cinder, I am going to LOVE the looks of utter dismay on the faces of people like this in four years when not only has he not kept one promise but, in fact, made things worse. Through my tears, I will life my middle finger and say “Told you.” Yes, I’m a petty bastard.
According to the Prosperity Gospel Assholes, the needy are poor as punishment for their sins. If they were better people, they’d be rewarded by God. The first step towards becoming a better person is to hand over cash to the pastor.
So the spiritual advisor to the man who dismisses any criticism of himself as “fake news”, dismisses any criticism of herself as attacks from Satan.
Prosperity Gospel assholes are the worst. The. Worst.
He’s just there because he cares about us. Hillary or anybody poor would be trying to get rich [in the White House]
Donald Trump is not popular with black people.
Well, obviously. Did you see how Black she was while she said it?
Two great Yelp reviews I saw recently:
Park Tavern appears to be in midtown Atlanta, meaning it’s at least an hour drive from the Falcons’ fanbase of people who would never dream of living where they have to see actual minorities and will go back to caring way more about UGA football the next time the Falcons aren’t a playoff team.
You don’t know if it’s bullying because it’s not fucking bullying. It’s an athlete being asked questions who is expressing mild annoyance at a mildly negative question. She doesn’t insult the guy, she doesn’t flip out. She says it was negative and asks of he wants to apologize. Thay’s not bullying by any reasonable…
I’ve always thought child molestation was the worst, but yeah...you know... ballpark.
This has nothing to do with power or social/economic status. She wasn’t disrespectful at all...didn’t belittle the reporter, didn’t act like he was bad at his job, nothing. She was offended by and disagreed with the question he asked for an apology.
This argument is basically why Orange County, CA went blue for the first time in decades.
“Do you want to apologize” is bullying?
Telling someone to apologize is bullying? Are you literally from Sesame Street?
Sounds like bullying to me.
Man, I remember growing up, all the asshole kids would demand apologies from me. Really traumatizing.
