Yeah, as a current GTI owner, I wish there was a mild hybrid system. Hopefully the new R has some sort of electrification.

The Golf does this too, and while I wish it rotated around the icon, I did the next best thing.

I work for GM and I don't know what's going on here, then again I never do. 

While they could use more options, they’ve had VFTAX for a while, which I commented about here, and have made it a significant chunk of my portfolio since (and they dropped expenses to 14 points). Fidelity started offering it in my 401k so I have it there, too.

I don’t think this fully lays out the trade off here - I think this change is completely fine, depending on your Lyft usage. Lyft Pink gets you 15% off all rides, and then you earn an extra 10% back on those rides. I think on that alone, I’ll make up the extra $100, and then the annual $60 to DoorDash is just gravy
