I’d never pay extra for organic milk, “organic” cows aren’t any healthier or happier. In warmer months they may be out on pasture more then conventional farms, so their diet is a little different which could cause a different taste then most normal milk and maybe some differences in nutrients.

I do run our family farm that milks about 50 cows, and I think most large farms do a very good job because they have modern facilities and they know that happy cows=profitable cows.

You don’t know what you are talking about. The most profitable cows are healthy clean comfortable cows. Cows produce more milk when lying down because blood flow is increased to the udder. Cows prefer to lie down in clean spots. The best bedding system used for cows is sand, which is also very good for milk quality…
