Reading a prepared speech is very different from a live debate.

It is disingenuous of the author to not mention that in CA there is NO separate minimum wage for tipped employees. (But for some reason there is a higher minimum wage for FF workers, it makes no sense and angers me. No job type should have a higher or lower minimum wage than any other.)
