I’ve got one place in my area that makes a damn good Chicago style pizza, which is handy because I crave it maybe once a year. But the other 95% of the time, I’m ordering a regular pizza from somewhere because the Chicago style is like triple the price.

Same. I’ve been allergic to artificial sweeteners since the ‘70s - it started with Sweet n Low. I can’t eat or drink any of them.

“use”? ehhhhh “have”? yes. Kind of need it to maintain various contacts and to make viewing some content feesable.

Yep... had to reconfigure my brain after seeing these.

I like how at 995 MPH we can put a hellfire missile through some kid’s toilet window and at Mach 0.74 a cruise missile can follow terrain to end up in the center of the crater the AGM-114 made but apparently landing a garbage can the right way up at walking pace is hard.

Here’s how it will actually go:

1: It won’t come out in 2026. Instead it will get repeatedly delayed.
2: It will cost more than $40,000
3: Its range will not be anywhere close to what was advertised
4: When it does finally come out a year or so late it will be found to have tons and tons of really annoying problems.

To be fair Valentines day is a rip off , basically enforced romance day , existing to sell crap , make couples go to overfull resataurants with hiked up prices , and make single people depressed . Be romantic if you want , but do it because you want to , not because Hallmark says you should.

I blame airfryers. Bacon cooked in an airfryer just looks sad. I cook bacon using the stove, ugh mess, because it just looks better in the pan. But I do cook it less just because of the mess. I tried the airfryer, and, while it tasted fine, it just looked sad in there. And airfried porkchops are just awful.

Yeah, morons like to say “but prices go up if wages do” in the whiniest tone of voice. And it isn’t an either/or situation. Because the third option is the one where the problem really lies. The third option is that prices can stay the same, or even go down, if they pay the boardroom guys and shareholders less.

I had a manager of a local Culvers tell me point blank the reason i only got 3 family meals for the same amount as what 4 used to be was due to having to pay people more money. I REFUSE to believe that paying workers made costs go up that much. I also REFUSE to believe they are actually paying them all that much more

Exactly. We ate at McDonald’s because it was cheap & convenient, not because it’s the most delicious food ever.

Yeah, this tracks. McD’s is for cheap and fast, with the idea that “good” comes in a distant third. They’re out here charging nearly $12 for a standard Filet O’ Fish meal.

Well maybe McDonalds can get together with all the other low income employers, and solve their own problem by raising fucking wages! Or is that too complex for those Big Business Brains in the boardroom to grasp. Corporate America is destroying its own customer base all over the economy with its greed.

This thing should not be sold. It’s the most unsafe vehicle sold in decades. The Feds should never have let this thing hit the market. Fuck this. And fuck everyone who buys or scams to get one. We good people here are considerate owners of practical cars like the Miata and Ford Flex. Are we going to stand for these

No. We’ve already done this. It turns out that, no Bitcoin is not useful as a store of value, and it’s not useful as a medium of exchange. It’s just good for criminals and tax dodgers.

As ridiculous as the rollout of this truck has been, I give Tesla credit for at least taking a stab at 2 major methods of cost cutting:

Its almost as if,... bare steel may have been a poor choice for an automobile finish?

I feel like there were 14 pieces raving about Taco Bell, but maybe that was last week, or last month.

Material Scientist & Engineer / metallurgist here. Tesla is using a custom cold rolled 300 series stainless steel, so similar to type 304 and 316 austenitic stainless steel. Marketing name “ultra-hard 30X”.
