I know I keep harping on 50k+ EVs and SUVs being completely affordable to the average guy, but a gay at my work that gets paid ok but not great, bought like a 60k pickup and he’s just getting eaten alive by the payments now. This is why the current Ford/Tesla model of selling only the most expensive vehicles possible…

What are the car companies gonna do when nobody can afford +50k trucks, SUVs, and EVs anymore and can’t make a profit paying UAW workers the 40% raises they all got?  Basically, they’ll just sell out like every other American industry has.

Yes, there’s only so much market for +50k EVs, and trucks. Tesla and Ford are going to run out of people to sell these to eventually, probably already happening.
