i like how the charger goes onto the watch instead of moto's solution where the watch goes into the charger. it's pretty much the difference between a cable and a dock i guess. dock's are nice in my room, but when i want to keep a charger on the go, it can be a burden.

no lightning connector. it's the same reason the moto and lg watches don't use micro usb.

you could justify part of that $100 with the build quality. the apple one seems to have better materials (sapphire and proprietary metals). not sure if it's $100 worth... but the value of $100 is subjective too, i guess.
