Agreed. Forgot about that.
Agreed. Forgot about that.
Forgive me if I have missed it but a little love for Take the Money and Run would have been nice. Woody went there long before all of these and it's hilarious.
That's the perfect response. The other perfect response, although much ruder, is, "I don't give a fuck who you are."
As good as The Linney/Hoffman pairing is I'd pick the Linney/Rufalo duo from "You Can Count on Me" as even more complicated and better. Love that flick.
GWTW, terrible race issues aside if that is possible, is really great for all of these reason UNTIL the intermission. After that it's mostly florid soap opera.
Hear hear. A Beautiful Mind blows. That movie really set my teeth on edge.
Yeah, the wife and I just rewatched it recently and we were both re-amazed at how good that flick is. I truly love it.
Truth but not a complete Crash-worthy travesty. Raging Bull is one of the best films I've ever seen but OP is really pretty good.
Goodfellas should definitely have won and Dances is a Costner self-love fest but it's still, for all of that, pretty good. Beautifully shot, lots of well staged action and the score - holy moly. I'm a big fan of John Barry and he really laid the golden egg with that repeated melody. Spectacular.
From a generation that needs a few smacks to the head rather than a pat. Smug fucks.
I agree with Jesse for all of the reason he cited. Greatest Show on Earth sucks out loud but he mentioned but failed to emphasize the true horror of that flick - fucking clowns! The only way a film with clowns should be nominated for an Oscar, let alone win BP, is if clowns are being killed in terrible ways.
I think I'm the only person who likes that scene. Sure it's gross and hard to watch but the point was that the shit he is doing is ruining his soul so badly that he can't even do something as simple and joyful as fuck his wife, who he loves, without the emotional poison bubbling up and overwhelming him. I'd actually…
How did I never know of that song? Thank you, @avclub-6b4a9e228208a5008088d8ad6e1b3dd7:disqus.
Klaus Maria Brandauer was really pretty great though. Otherwise, yes, a crashing bore.
The hilarious opening stunt sequence with Cruise in Goldmember as AP seemed to me to be riffing on M:I 2's utter idiocy.
Agreed! From the hilarious comments section:
"Did you know CNR played in Star Wars?
yea he did!
he played the role of the Force"
Wow! Same amount of laughter from me. Sick as shit too.
