I’ll wrap my rewatch of this series tonight. I’d not watched it since it originally aired, even though I had fond memories of it. In my opinion its probably the greatest of all the HBO shows and could possibly be the best television show of all time. The lack of a fitting conclusion would be the only thing holding it

Gamera 2 is possibly the best kaiju movie since Tohos heyday of the 60s.

I’ve got tix for Thursday with the GF and Friday with the guys. This movie looks like a love letter to 60's era Toho monster movies and for that I could not be happier.

Not only did I not have to watch it to star it, I immediately began singing all the lyrics....

The real story here is that Trump apparently will leave office in six years if(god forbid) he’s reelected, as opposed to appointing himself King for Life.

I was in HS during Desert Storm and when I look back at the news coverage now, as an adult, I realize it was straight up propaganda. Not as shocking is how I remember everyone lapping it right up.

I hope LoG goes back into political music on their next album. Ashes of the Wake and As the Palaces Burn are such great anti-Bush/anti-authoritarian albums. I’d love for them to eviscerate Trump.

Frankly every firefighter I know in my neck of south-eastern PA is a gun humping, coal rolling, MAGA chud.

obviously we need more guns....

He looks like the bat from Ferngully.

ROXY!  Sorry about my face.

I’d watch the shit out of that

I kind of disagree. At the beginning she was just a kid being dragged around by her abusive brother, being forced to marry a barbarian. She’s been entitled since about midway through season 2.

Not sure if you listen to any philly sports talk, but Mike Miss covered the controversy one day last week and the callers were...hoo boy....

I wish I could get ungrayed.....sigh....

He’s a giant shapeshifting turd monster, whats not to love?

All new.  I personally love Gigan though.  A CGI Hedorah would also be rad.

The score will include lots of cues from the original series of movies.

I think there is a scene of some ancient cave art showing them, but they don’t actually appear in the movie.  I wonder how audiences in 2019 would react to them if they did though.  Personally I'd love it.

I really like the ‘14 movie, but I think the issue with is it was advertised as a dark take on the monster like the original ‘54 movie and it actually played out more like a late 60s-70s Godzilla movie where he saves the day and strolls off into the sunset at the end.  This movie is apparently embracing that take,
