I just looked at your commenting history, and your hatred of the DH has made me elect to spare you the full force of my fury. Honestly? I like Bernie. I also like words. Douchemonster is a great word. Say it. You know you want to.

Not surprising. The guy who came up with #Berniesoblack last year is still getting shit from Bernie fans incensed that a black person isn’t in love with the idea of a President Sanders. This isn’t exactly new.
The problem is that the Berniebros expose the sexism that is inherent in these extreme stances. We do need to address that. It reminds me how betrayed and generally disgusted I felt when Clinton ran the last time, and I read “Bitch, get the kitchen, and make me a sandwich!” a whole lot.
It was repulsive and sickening.…
Every Bernie supporter who isn’t a complete idiot shares this viewpoint. While I would love for him to win the nomination, it’s still a long shot, and I’ll be holding my nose along with the rest of the reasonable voting population and voting for Hillary if it doesn’t pan out.
““Yeah, I’ll admit I was guilty of this when talking to a Hilldawg supporter,” one bro responded. “They just become so condescending when talking about the issues that it can set off your temper.”
Wow, the greys are pretty illuminating. Lots of people way too ready to interpret any criticism of one particular group of one candidate’s supporters as active campaigning for another candidate.
“No she’s a fucking twat,” said another. “I am of the opinion that $hillary is a fucking twat. TWAT TWAT TWAT. Bye felicia!”
Straight up, people who support Bernie Sanders but won’t vote for Clinton if she gets the nomination don’t believe in anything other than supposed liberal purity. I like Sanders, a lot. But frankly the most important things a President does are 1. nominate Supreme Court justices and 2. represent the face of America on…
... and they’re so SENSITIVE!! What’s up with all the uncontrollable emotionality from these guys who purport to be some kind of enlightened alpha bro?
This is a real problem with most Bernie related discussions recently. Early on when I first started supporting Bernie I saw so many people writing about him and his platform in ways that were open, accepting, and respectful of other opinions, but now the first thing you see on any comment on an article or facebook…
Shit man, I am voting for Bernie but I am not a blind supporter and I get shit all over by Bernie Bros. Just because you have a disagreement doesn’t mean you need 10 mean mansplaining to you how you are wrong for having feelings and opinions.
The admin was just like “oh god, no, no no no” when they imagined the shitstorm that would occur
I agree. I left fb back in September because of how condescending some of Sanders’ supporters were, and here is where they've really come out in full force.
I think the Sanders campaign has again responded well to some deserved criticism. It’s not their fault that some of Sanders’ supporters are douchebags, but I think it’s cool that they are addressing it.
How can this be? I was repeatedly told, here of all places, that these guys were strawmen that don’t exist. Hmmmmmm.
I’ve been a huge Bernie supporter for awhile, but Berniebros are the worst. They are the type of guys that pretend like they are just so moral and and progressive, but mansplain/whitesplain everything because they still feel they are superior. I also cannot support anything someone says if they use sexist rhetoric.…
Yeah, I’ve been noticing that and it’s really been pissing me off. Like I support Bernie, but I would be fine with Hilary winning. She’s not as liberal as Bernie is, but I like some of her policies.
It really makes me like Bernie more that he came out against this behavior. I wish he would have gone further and said “like it or not, Hillary Clinton has done a lot of this country, was a hardworking senator and first lady. It’s not cool to call her a twat.”
The Berniebro is now what happens when Reddit eats a fairly liberal, if irritatingly opinionated white guy, and spits him out.
Makes you wish every candidate would at least attempt to do the same. They all have their own “bros” when it comes to social media.
