I don't think that's the point. The point is that people don't actually care about the person, they only care about themselves liking the music. So when someone dies from some sort of drug OD or alcohol, they glorify the artist and in turn the lifestyle as if they are larger than life rather than actually caring about…

I really think that, and this sounds horrible/stupid, but necause of his age there won’t be nearly as many people idolizing his drug use or death.

Addiction is a terrible, horrible thing no one should be idolizing. Seeing someone you love waste away and give up on everything is devastating. Anyone glamorizing additction as anything but tragic needs a reality check.
