I still see this all the time. I was at Disney & Universal in Orlando recently and I couldn't believe the number of people using iPads as cameras. These are sane people who probably have an iPhone or something similar right in their pocket.

I think this is a pretty fair price. I think it will prove to be on par with the iPad. Hence the pricing. They're still probably loing money at this price.

I understand why people wanted this to be $399 or $299, but Microsoft is probably losing money even at this price. I think it was smart to align pricing with the ipad rather than Nexus/Fire. They shouldn't have to give these things away. By all accounts its a solid unit and should be priced as such.

At the office we pay for Economist & WSJ. I'm not sure if i'd fork over the $$ personally. But I do see the value. I like the writing better on those sites than some of the other free sources
