The thing is, ATT & Verizon push them SOOOO hard. I know so many people that don't know better that have been scammed into paying $50+ for a case from the carriers

Something to consider if you have a corporate discount at verizon. With the new share plant, the discount no longer applies to the voice/text part of the plan. So you're only getting the discount on the data plan. Thats something to add to the calculation...
