Fuck this show.
Fuck this show.
Oh man, if it’s one thing you need to take away from this list it’s that you should listen to I Wanna Destroy You.
I want to love it, but I just like it.
I really didn’t like the choice of making Tic basically a bystander in his own story and having George be given all his revelations and best scenes. The way the ritual resolved is especially bad.
This is a well made show but the pacing seems off. It’s burning through story so quickly! These two episodes could have been an entire season. In fact, them finding Montrose and George dying felt like what should happen in a season finale. Instead, they have the characters figuring out the entire story in like 5…
This is an odd point to make when CK is right there playing with the other kids, because one of the most popular kids around invited him over. There’s no “we” here. We aren’t making a collective decision on CK, a bunch of individuals are, and many of those individuals just aren’t ever going to forgive CK. Many others,…
Was it, though? Maude was having an abortion 30 years before that. 90s teen dramas were addressing it 10 years before that. It seemed like cowardice to me.
The “so many unions are corrupt” line is something that anti-union businesses have been pushing for almost a century. Yes some unions have problems, but this is no worse than the record of corrupt self-dealing CEOs who line their pockets regardless of the success of their businesses.
I think you’re being a little harsh on this guy. He accomplished something pretty difficult to do at this stage of the protest; he made this about himself. That’s got to count for something.
This is the problem with the whole ‘we take care of our own’ mentality most police have. If you have 10 bad cops and 90 good cops that don’t do anything about the 10, you have 100 bad cops.
I love M&C with the heat of a thousand suns, but sadly, it was like the #33 movie of 2003 at the box office, a relative flop on a $150 million budget. Don’t worry, though, the top films of 2003 were maritime adventures: Finding Nemo and (gulp) Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl.
Actually, it wasn’t 15 years ago, as the article states. It was 24 yea.....oh, Jesus.
I’m seeing double. One Krusty!
I remember getting into spats with other commenters in the reviews for Sharp Objects who thought she was giving a bad performance. People who obviously hadn’t read the book because (spoiler alert for a series that aired a couple of years ago and a book that was published in 2006) Adora Crellin is actually putting on…
It’s become impossible for me not to comment weekly on the craftsmanship of this show. The scene with Nacho and Gus setting up the arson at Los Pollos Hermanos was just a masterclass of shots, angles, close-ups, and wide. With just the perfect music accompaniment, a jaunty latin tune.
In that case my actual dying words will probably be “I regret nothing”.
The way she talked to Russell basically cemented my forever love for her.
And you’re the one (intentionally?) missing the point and being obtuse, so guess I’ll just adjust my opinion until it matches yours. (To clarify, the point was that discouraging people to discuss these issues - either by saying their views mean little or nothing - doesn’t help us get any closer to an answer, a learned…
You know what's not cool Bobby? Hell.
