I don’t know how long before people realize that wokeness is going to be the death of media and entertainment.

No shit... There was a Progressive spike upwards when Splinter went away too. (See what I did there?)
its Gawker Media. always a certain political alignment in everything. and its not one that ends up car-friendly
At 10 years old, Challenger is still America’s coolest looking coupe sold today. Change my mind.
I’m almost done with this website. I’m so sick of their pandering “woke” attitude while handwringing about global warming and then talking about how you should be track driving your vehicles every weekend if you’re a true enthusiast.
Also, the V6 gets a genuine 30mpg highway in the real world, not just the laboratory. Which is actually not far off the real user reported economy numbers for the 4-cylinder Mustang, a smaller, lighter car with less seating and trunk space. For what it is, a big, plush, highway cruiser, the Challenger is actually…
“wasteful” was a cheap shot. We have every type of AMG, M/M-sport, R/RS, bloated “coupes”, three page option sheets, premium required, SPORT cars and SUVs. I like that FCA hasn’t been on the new style bandwagon every year decade.
We’re undoubtedly heading towards an electric self driving future, so enjoy these types of cars while you can.
I thought this was an enthusiast website?
Calling the Challenger “wasteful”, while obvious, seems more like what you’d expect coming from a green/electric car website, particularly given that it’s no more “wasteful” than most performance cars. Do you have a fast food blog on the side where you mention in every post…
It’s a comfortable car that can be had with a variety of HP flavors. It doesn’t always have to be about “riding on rails” handling. We’re undoubtedly heading towards an electric self driving future, so enjoy these types of cars while you can.
Why is the Challenger called ancient, and yet we give Toyota a pass for almost all of their body on frame vehicles?
Jalopnik is such partisan trash now, and I say that as someone who has never missed an election and never once voted republican..
Here is what happens.
Terribly long article.
I somewhat agree. McKay seems to have a bad image of Peterson from the get-go and doesn’t seem to care about changing that opinion in the least and I can see how that might sour his experience of the TS site. That being said, it’s not like all the criticism is unfounded, but cmon, asking for $10 refund, an expense…
Can you do this community a favor and shut the fuck up? Seriously. This commenter has some real, valid knowledge of the subject matter, and you don’t like the bluntness and their choice of word so you chalk them out as racist because he pointed out that some non-white cultures sacrificed children once upon a time, so“D…
We are Tank!
Exactly - never heard it put quite like that, but exactly. In any case, I wouldn’t go back - loving my KTM Super Duke GT’s LC8 75 degree twin!
I feel like my question is being interpreted as an attack on big twins, it isn’t. Just wondering how much value there is in innovation in a design that’s kind of old-school. Can you improve them? Sure. But doesn’t other new tech solve the problems you’re compensating with the new design and tech already?
Your point? The Vtwin from 1299 makes even more power. Your comparison is dumb because the engines weren’t even designed with similar goals from the get go; of course they are going to be different and go about it much differently. No other company makes a Vtwin with any semblance of low end power and torque like…
