Is it just me, or does Dany’s crew look and sound more and more like The Revolution. I was half-expecting Missandei to add this to her intro monologue:

Most importantly, can we talk about the return of production designer Akira Yoshimura? He played Sulu in the original Belushi timeline. That should be a story in itself.
Appears to be a slightly modified version of the tween Black Widow wig. $12.99 at HalloweenCostumes.com
Ugh. Why does every male/female main character pair have to have sexual tension.
Has the term “Women these days...” ever been followed by anything remotely astute?
Colour grading is immensely complex, with the amount of tiny adjustments you can make, but to show you a much simpler example, this is the Black-and-White filter in Photoshop. It allows you to adjust how intensely each colour channel is affected by the filter, giving you surprising control. You can make a monotone…
I made a mock-up of what a black-and-white version could look like. Thought it looked pretty good, personally.
I assumed they chose it because it so perfectly encapsulates American braggadocio, something I’m sure will be on the firing line in this sequel. Also, it worked damn well as a trailer song, doubly so that they didn’t get some gloomy 20 year old girl to do a haunting cover of it.
They should do the Sid Vicious version instead.
At least use the Sid Vicious version.
They should have made it a horror movie. Jim wakes Aurora up, she eventually finds out it was him, is angry (LIKE A NORMAL FUCKING PERSON WOULD BE), stalks him around the ship as he desperately tries to hide, and murders him. Time goes by, Aurora starts to get lonely, slowly starts losing her mind. Final scene we her…
Except the whole film is built around rewarding him for his behavior. She’s exactly who he hoped she’d be, she eventually forgives him and falls for him, and then he gets to live out his life with her.
Here’s the thing: Would it have been that hard for the Pratt character to find some technicians or engineers in hibernation who’d be able to fix his cryo-chamber? Then they all go back to sleep, problem solved. The whole premise is really stupid.
Cloud Atlas is a masterpiece that stands with the best works from Powell and Pressburger (whose films it resembles in many respects), and I think it will eventually be recognized as such.
It never stopped Andreas Katsulas
I’m always impressed by the make up on Sarris, the villain in Galaxy Quest. It managed to be expressive despite being so unwieldy.
I adored the second, even over the first.
Hey, don’t lump Punisher War Zone in with that lot! Add beer, pizza and a couple of friends who aren’t going to take it seriously and you’ll have a good time!
That finale was one of the finest pieces of Art ever broadcast on television. In fact, the only true Surrealist cinema or visual narrative I have ever seen on TV.
L.A., huh? You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. Seems appropriate.
