.... I really want to know if you opted out of the Caps in April, and how that did or did not work out with your family.

Agreed, not sure intent being included is a good idea. However, it appears that’s where they’re going to go as a compromise so they can pretend allowing linemen to continue suffering constant head trauma is okay.

I know the only thing worse than actual lawyering is rules lawyering, but because these rules were almost certainly written with the help of legal consultants: the element of intent you’re looking for and not finding is the word to.” As in, “[i]t is a foul if a player lowers his head to initiate and make contact with

I am seriously curious if the soccer culture of racing seats is what started the gaming culture of racing seats. Seems like a possible deep dive into history for an intrepid writer...

It seems a very strange coincidence that the player whose career most resembles Pujols’, Trout, steps into the box just ahead of him most days. The way you can breathlessly (and accurately) describe Pujols’ career, just the sheer consistency, the dominance in every offensive metric or measure, traditional or advanced,

Yuuuuuuup

... it’s going somewhere else

Honestly this is a great point; starchasing appears to be Morey’s huge weakness. He’s great at building solid teams top to bottom, great at implementing useful, efficient systems for his team out of inefficiencies... and then he seems to be his own worst enemy with things like going after Dwight and Melo and (sadly,

So, no chance he’s playing like ass because he’s getting treated like crap at work every day? No chance at all that he just doesn’t give a fuck about pleasing people who are making him miserable?

I’m kind of into this take but honestly, doesn’t it just need a new name? We’re not going to stop distinguishing games where nobody reaches base—we’ll just start calling them immaculate games, or whatever. And just like an immaculate inning is 9 pitches, 9 strikes, 3Ks, those outs are every bit as good if you do them

So he hated being a Met and wasn’t trying very hard because of it? I feel that. Seems legit.

Microtransactions fall into a category of rational decision making that butts up hard against diminishing marginal utility. Moreover, there are huge, huge limitations to the assumption of economically rational decision making, because it tends to assume completeness of information (which is never the case).

It’s a 90 minute endurance game in which you can’t sub out and back in and in which there are no timeouts and no built in stoppage of play; unless the ball goes out of bounds, all you get is halftime.

They could remove the max on player contracts.

Just to clarify, a big plaintiff’s case like this is almost always taken on a contingency fee, which means his lawyer’s fees were contingent on them winning (and his lawyer was effectively gambling on being able to win the case). Whether Amann has to pay his lawyers costs (depositions, documents, travel expenses,

Bought this thing on reviews, and I cannot STAND IT. Clogs like crazy trying to drain through. Really a huge pain in the butt. Haven’t used it in close to a year since I got it.

I thought they were pretty close. The snout was more of a tight, short, precise strike, like a right cross to the jaw. The tail smack doesn’t appear to have quite as much direct force behind it, but definitely has more torque and probably more gator weight hitting that lady in the head.

Yeah the Celtics play a surprisingly similar brand of ball to the Warriors, but were doing it without any established stars. The Warriors have a minimum of three, more realistically four, players who are better than anyone on the Celtics, and the Celts took these Cavs down to the wire.

I got this exact model as a gift a few weeks ago. Was shocked at how easy it was to install and I won’t even lie, it’s really good.

Honestly this reminds me a lot of the shift in basketball towards more versatile lineups with two-way wings, and the shift in football towards wide open spread offenses.
