I agree with everything you said. Not only do we not learn it’s always the same things that take us down. The incredible hubris to think we’re above it, too evolved, too modern to commit atrocities. It’ll always happen again it’s just a matter of when and who.

What’s disturbing is that merely fact-checking does no good anymore. My father, a Trump supporter, is truly and utterly convinced that they’ve had a cure for cancer since the 1960's (Salk discovered it, natch), but the government/big pharma have kept it under wraps.
