Wow. This comments section is a goddamned clusterfuck. What the hell is wrong with white feminists? Like when will you guys learn even the MOST BASIC of racial discourse? My word man, stereotyping is BAD people. Always. Goddammit. I feel bad for all of us that wasted all these years writing on kinja and trying

Not gonna lie, had to look up “adipose”.

I so agree! Isn’t it awful? Everyday, after working my 4 hour shift at KFC, I come home to my old copy of Cosmo and cry over a picture of Nicole Kidman. I wonder why my skin is not like hers, must be this damn curse of Ham. Then, I bury my head in my bucket of chicken and let my salty tears act as a condiment.

I don’t think it’s actually as difficult as you are portraying it to be. All it takes is a little forethought or just general concern about being a good human being prior to opening your mouth and spouting the first thought that comes to mind.

no one would give a flying flip if she was a POC. 5 foot 5 is now supermodel status? This is starting to become white women’s body acceptance movement. When it’s time to lift up POC bodies no one is around for that. But let’s talk about how much black men love my white body compared to white men. get outta here.

she sounds like she is proud of cat calling

She can’t be both a supermodel and a “model on the rise.” Pick one.

Uh... she had me until:

It was in relation to being cat called by black men significantly more than by white,

You said you would meet words with violence. "If anyone ever presented me with one of these plates, I'd smash them over the head with it " If you think thats ok then your value set is much different than mine. My rights end where another's begins, and when I trespass against someone I forfeit an equal amount of my

the jerk would be the one who says nothing and lets you die surrounded by dingdongs like john candy.

Yes, because assault is always the best option when someone has voiced a concern for your well being.

pretty much this blog and its frequenters embrace an idea that is unhealthy and deadly to society.

Um. Ok. over 60% of us are over wght. This is a public health issue. A resource usage issue. A national security issue. A plate that says 'do you really need that second helping' doesnt seem that offensive to me considering the cost to society as a whole for us being over weight.

Same here. I am totally going to write myself a note for my wallet. And I might just buy myself a "big mistake" plate.

Eating more than your body needs is the unhealthy behavior. But yet again, overeating is held up as the "healthy behavior." Grrr. I really should not read these posts. Thanks for being one of the sane commenters.

I really wish someone would watch me eat and shame me into stopping. I'm about 20lb overweight (for reals!) and I just cannot shift it despite proper exercising and trying somewhat to restrict. I agree with others these plates are bad, but for me, I think they'd be perfect. I need to be motivated! I really think I

You know... I have a set of four of the Big Mistake plates. And I don't care if you don't like it. I think it's funny. The other one, yeah... might be going a bit far. But who's to say Big Mistake is fat shaming? Guess what, people: Eating more than your body can handle IS a big mistake - and not because of fat.

I guess this goes to show the terrible relationship I have with food, but shit like this helps me. I have a note in my wallet to stop me from making regrettable purchases, on days when my emotional state is really shaky I write "be good" on my hand, and I don't have ED, but I need constant reminders not to do things
