Yes the capitol is fraught with somewhat controversial history. The dome was originally "gold" which was actually copper that faded to a hideous seasick green for years. Having lived near Topeka for several years in my past, I had to laugh once Topeka was mentioned. They also got the establishing shot wrong, since the Native American atop the capitol dome wasn't there yet in the 80's. Also lol at a health food store existing in Topeka then. I hate that I know these things.
