i’m lol’ing at what I imagine your reaction would be to a guy trying to mansplain women’s fashion to you.

The differences are slight.

put a rubberband on the stick and let that thing do the oval to farm money

russell wilson wouldn’t have made a dime of this without 5 years of free education, training, and development in college.  he would probably be bobbing between AA and AAA baseball, setting strikeout records.

-a miata of any year (except the one year you did buy, like an idiot)

I couldn’t get over how awful the Ascent’s 3rd row/storage situation was. For a company who is so smart about their brand and family connections, i think they blew it big time.

the counterargument is that anyone who has driven a minivan and then a crossover kn0ws that crossovers are in no way, shape, or form a replacement for a minivan. they do everything to about 50% of what a minivan does.

time sensitive shipments already go by plane.  there’s literally nothing expedient about a truck that travels at 65mph and has daily limits on hours of operation.

the same way thing happened before the Motor Carrier Act of 1980, which deregulated trucking and caused a boom in the usage of semi trucks. you could allow short-haul transportation from hubs and distribution centers, but ban interstate long-haul trucking.

because a massive increase in the amount of goods traveling by rail would require the companies shipping via rail to make big investments in the infrastructure or face crippling disruptions to the supply lines. unline roads, where they can just ignore infrastructure since the public uses it more than freight movement,

it’s already pointed out here, but i absolutely love using the train for DC-NYC. Acela or regional. It’s more comfortable and, all things considered, even the regional takes just about as much time as a flight when you consider you’re landing at MSG and not LGA.

ugh, no, the no sonic boom isn’t because of differences in altitude, temperature, pressure, or anything else. it’s because the sonic boom happens with air speed, not speed over ground. period.  the end.

he’s right though.

this is long ball. $250M is enough to pay the entirety of the 3-year contracts for every single player in the league. two and a half times over.

There’s a VP at my company who drives one and nearly daily I see it in the lot and think to myself “how can you be smart enough to be a VP and stupid enough to buy this ugly piece of shit”

i’m the only person alive who thinks Z8's are ugly and horrendously overpriced, so you do you

I would like to put in that my 2011 Mazda3's manual transmission had to get rebuilt at 75K miles because they’re trash and you should never buy one.

and on that metric, the Supra is on par with the late 90's air cooled 911 turbos.  i just think that’s different than “stupid amounts of money”

there’s a loooong way for the supra to go. yeah that one 7K miler sold for $121K, but a 20K mile 1994 barely broke $70k. 96-97 911 turbos have been going for $200K+ on the reg on BaT

well in that case the supra is still trying to become an air cooled porsche 911
