I mean granted, “brave new world” can be used as a general phrase and Shakespeare quote, but saying “Even in a Brave New World systems are violence” is like saying “Even in 1984 the government oppresses.”

I think when a work is being adapted in a world that’s very different from the one it was created in, we can and should expect more significant changes from the source material.

Sure- but the core of the issue is Cops needing to be reigned in when they fuck up, or the training they receive in the academy needs to be fixed.
